Senior Executive Engineer, Configuration

Position Summary
The role purpose of a Senior Executive Engineer is to take a leading role in delivering specialist technical services and in-service engineering support aimed at driving on-time performance improvements, focussing on aircraft, engine and component reliability.
Key Accountabilities
- Providing comprehensive resolutions for issues arising on the assigned fleet type, leveraging on own knowledge, experience, creativity and innovation which always comply with industry standards and company procedures
- Monitor on-time performance, fleet reliability and safety incident trends and to initiate any actions necessary to address emerging issues
- Work closely with Flight Operations, Maintenance Control, Asset Management, Production Planning, Quality Assurance, Aircraft Projects, and Corporate Safety to ensure that the assigned fleet and/or system achieves optimum operational, reliability, safety and economic performance levels
- Ensure engineering solutions are provided to address fleet operational issues as highlighted through the Reliability Programme and daily operations meetings
- Ensure that persistent or long outstanding defects on aircraft and components are rectified
- Carry out AD/SB evaluation
- Carry out reliability studies of aircraft components, PIREP and MAREP, and other trend monitoring activities
- Maintain close ties with the aircraft manufacturers in ensuring that MAB issues are correctly prioritized
- Effectively implement company policies and procedures in support of smooth operations and business growth
- Identify, evaluate and promote continuous improvement initiatives that deliver business value and/or reduce costs
- Support Design Organisation activities as required
- Consult and liaise with the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) on technical issues as required
- Responsible for any other assignment TSM allocates from time to time
- Deputise for the TSM from time to time as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in engineering from an internationally recognised university
- 5 years of work experience in Technical Services trades
Personality Traits
- Must possess an understanding of company procedures
- Must possess an understanding of Part-M is essential, understanding of Part-145 is desirable
Key Challenges
- To manage and maintain an acceptable competency level within the section
- Ability to efficiently manage, organise, allocate tasks, supervise, and motivate engineers within the section
- To manage up-to-date technical data, information and procedures required for operational use
- To continuously undertake preventive or corrective measures to increase work quality and efficiency
- To provide high quality and timely specialist technical consultation service in the applicable trade
