Department
Airport Planning & Administration
Employee Type
Probationary
At Cebu Pacific, we are driven by our mission to move people and create opportunities. If you’re passionate about shaping the future of travel, driving innovation, and making flying safer and more seamless for everyone, you could be the next
Airport Innovations Specialist .
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and support technical projects across airport operations, cabin services, and innovation initiatives — owning the project lifecycle from requirements gathering through DTO/vendor development, testing, and deployment.
- Act as the primary technical liaison between CSO/SIT, DTO, and third-party vendors — translating business and operational requirements into clear technical specifications, and translating technical constraints back into business-understandable terms.
- Manage and track projects through the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) — requirements definition, design review, development tracking, QA/UAT, deployment, and post-implementation monitoring — ensuring vendors and DTO deliver against agreed scope and timelines.
- Conduct and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with a technical understanding of what's being tested — able to read test scripts, distinguish a data issue from a logic/code issue, and give vendors precise, actionable defect reports rather than surface-level symptoms.
- Research and benchmark industry trends, emerging technologies, and technical best practices in airport, inflight, and cargo systems to identify innovation opportunities with real technical feasibility.
- Evaluate proposed solutions and vendor architectures for technical soundness — assessing integration complexity, API/data dependencies, and system impact — before preparing business cases and implementation plans.
- Conduct feasibility studies covering both business impact (cost-effectiveness, profitability, customer satisfaction) and technical impact (system compatibility, integration effort, technical risk).
- Track project delivery using standard PM/SDLC tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent) — maintaining sprint/backlog visibility, dependency mapping, and status reporting to SIT leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DTO, vendors, operations, cabin services) to ensure successful technical implementation, and monitor outcomes against defined goals and metrics post-launch.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical field.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in a technical project management, business analyst, or systems delivery role — aviation or IT-related industry preferred.
- Working understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and common methodologies (Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, or hybrid) — able to speak credibly with developers and vendors about sprints, backlogs, releases, and defect tracking.
- Experience coordinating with external vendors and/or internal DTO/engineering teams on system implementations, integrations, or upgrades.
- Familiarity with how systems talk to each other at a conceptual level — APIs, data flows, system integrations — enough to ask the right technical questions, not necessarily to write code.
- Experience in UAT coordination, technical requirements documentation, or QA processes is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills — able to sit between technical and non-technical stakeholders without losing either audience.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment with shifting priorities and multiple concurrent vendor/DTO workstreams.
- Knowledge of Power BI or other data visualization tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with project tracking tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, Trello, or similar) preferred.
