ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM
As an Associate Software Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining specific modules within applications or systems, utilizing both established and cutting-edge technology platforms. Your responsibilities will encompass writing and delivering code for features and modules, debugging existing code, and offering technical guidance to fellow developers, including SITA Permanent and Offshore Partner Resources. With a direct reporting line to the Manager of Software Development, you will be an integral member of the Central Integration team, contributing to the innovation and seamless operation of our software solutions.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Develop, maintain, and support the software components of the existing application, ensuring their reliability and optimal performance.
- Write and deliver high-quality code for new features and modules. Debug existing code and modules, providing effective solutions to enhance overall system robustness.
- Offer technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced Developers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
- Develop and validate estimates for technical work, contributing to effective project planning and resource allocation.
- On an as-needed basis, assign and allocate defects to less experienced Developers, ensuring a streamlined and efficient defect resolution process.
- Actively participate in the analysis of requirements, playing a key role in designing new application and system features to meet evolving business needs.
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in technology.
- 2-3 years of software engineering experience in a development capacity.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust .NET applications using C#, .NET Framework 4.7+, ASP.NET MVC and .NET CORE
- Experience delivering code with SOLID principles and adhering to quality standards such as Sonar.
- Experience with Azure DevOps and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git is preferred.
- Familiarity with HTML/CSS and knowledge of UI frameworks such as Angular/React.
- Familiarity with common data formats such as XML and JSON.
- Understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases.
- Understanding of WCF/WPF/WAF frameworks and Windows as a Service.
- Background in working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
NICE-TO-HAVE
- Understanding of the Azure cloud environment and knowledge of Azure cloud services such as Azure Functions and Event Hub is a plus.
