Rishworth Aviation is seeking an experienced Duty Manager - Line Maintenance to oversee daily aircraft maintenance operations for a leading airline in the United Arab Emirates who will be responsible for managing line maintenance activities within a high-volume hub operation, ensuring aircraft are maintained, certified, and returned to service safely, efficiently, and company and regulatory compliant. The successful candidate will lead a team of engineers and supervisors while coordinating closely with Maintenance Control Centre (MCC), operational departments, and technical stakeholders to support fleet reliability and operational performance.
This is a full-time permanent position which requires relocation with VISA and education sponsorship provided for successful incumbents.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate daily line maintenance operations, ensuring aircraft are maintained and returned to service in accordance with approved technical standards and regulatory requirements.
- Exercise certification privileges to inspect, approve, and release maintenance work after verifying tasks have been completed correctly and within authorized limitations.
- Ensure all maintenance records, reports, and operational documentation are completed accurately and submitted within required timelines.
- Maintain full compliance with company policies, aviation regulations, airport requirements, and health and safety standards across all maintenance activities.
- Supervise shift operations by planning workload distribution, allocating resources effectively, and ensuring operational priorities are delivered on schedule.
- Manage staffing requirements and assign appropriately qualified and authorized engineers to support aircraft maintenance activities and operational demands.
- Support employee performance and development by identifying training needs, mentoring team members, and promoting continuous professional growth.
- Foster a positive safety culture through the implementation of Safety Management System (SMS) initiatives, risk assessments, and ongoing safety awareness programs.
- Monitor employee qualifications, certifications, and training validity to ensure continued regulatory compliance and operational readiness.
Job Requirements
- Valid GCAA AMEL or convertible to GCAA requirements (GACA/QCAA/EASA/UKCAA/CAAS/HKCAD)
- Minimum of 10 years of aircraft maintenance experience, including at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role
- Proven background in line maintenance operations, ideally gained within a busy international hub airport or large-scale airline operation
- Strong people leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the ability to lead technical teams, collaborate across multiple departments, and promote a positive safety culture through effective use of digital and operational tools
