Supply Chain Co-ordinator
Job Summary: The Supply Chain Co-ordinator is primarily responsible for processing and managing customer orders in a timely manner and ensuring a smooth run of deliveries on a daily basis. This role is responsible for the day to day upkeep of Logistics and Distribution records, liaising with 3PL warehouse and transport providers, development of SOP’s & distribution analysis tools. In this role it is essential to build and maintain good working relationships with customers, providers as well as other team members.
- Your tasks –
Service delivery
Operational point of contact for nominated customers/LMP/caterers/suppliers
Processing orders and ensuring they are delivered on time, in full. Interfacing with customers/caterers to validate completeness, accuracy and timeliness of order receipts
Develop strong relationship with the LMP/customer/suppliers so their needs are understood and develop solutions with colleagues
- outbound supply chain and record/log any issues and data to deliver KPI’s
- resolve and document any service delivery failures and follow up with re-invoicing or credit notes according to the agreed SLA’s. Escalating risks to the business and customers to line manager
Support projects to improve service to LMPs, caterers, suppliers and customers
Develop continuous improvement ideas (relating to service or cost) for LMPs, caterers, customers and suppliers. Work with colleagues to improve specific parts of the supply chain and the customer service experience. Escalate process and quality gaps and provide solutions where possible
Work with the company’s internal stakeholders to ensure overall customer experience is always positive and all queries and requests are dealt in a timely manner
Manage the introduction of new products and new customers as well as manage the product availability and costs associated with range changes and delists
Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns immediately
Logistics
Gaining quotes and actioning expedite transport, maintaining log.
Collation of 3PL supplier KPI data.
Operational point of contact for dealing with 3PL Warehouse, Transport and Customs Agents
Development of Excel distribution planning model from historic data and known forecasts.
Compilation and recording of Logistics and Distribution SOP’s (Standard operating procedures).
Equipment and Delist transport management and invoicing (EU).
Invoice checking/validation and logging. Data Entry, reporting and analysis of information.
Excellent communication skills in English, as this role will require regular interaction directly with customers and partners.
Business visits abroad (expected 2-3 times a year) to ensure proper functioning /relation with partners.
- Your profile –
Education:
Graduate (Bachelor) level education preferred, with strong numerical skills, alternatively relevant work experience
Work Experience:
- year’s work experience in a fast paced customer service and/or supply chain role in an FMCG environment. Some knowledge of the food logistics market. (Multi temp and/or warehouse an advantage)
- knowledge is an advantage
Technical Skills: (Certification, Licenses and Registration)
Intermediate knowledge in MS Excel is a must. Ability to write advanced functions / macros is an advantage.
Communication / Other Skills:
Fluency in English is a must. Any other language is an advantage.
