Job Description:
Duties and responsibilities-
The Head of Flight Training Operations will report to the General Manager - Airbus Training Centre - India. The candidate is expected to support and lead the Flight Training operations in the region (India & South Asia) including Ab-initio, Type training, flight Ops. training etc.) covering various activities including business operations, support business development teams for strategic projects, people management, procurement, financial forecasting, etc.
Business Operations & People Management -

Lead by example of professional ethical behavior and ensure the same of all Training Centre activities and associated Airbus team members.
Strengthen business continuity through ensuring cross training between team members and robust succession planning.
Shall work in coordination with all departments within Training to achieve the business targets and objectives.
Shall be responsible to manage the team of Training Delivery Managers/executives, Contractual training manager, Planners/Schedulers, and Training Coordinators.
Shall be responsible for smooth and effective Operations of the training business in line with the regulatory requirements.
Shall ensure that his/her team coordinates well with the local and central teams for the business needs of Maintenance and Flight Training.
Shall be responsible to ensure that his team has good knowledge on the working tools, procedures and organize trainings for them as required
Shall be responsible for the maintenance of all training records for Flight training activities
Shall ensure the preparedness of his team for internal and regulatory audits requirements including working towards closure of findings
Shall participate in the business meetings with airline customers, vendors, suppliers etc. to ensure optimized and efficient training business operations
Work with the Airbus facilities and security team to follow-up and close the business and regulatory requirements for the Training operations including emergency layouts, temperature controls in the sim area, cafeteria, entry-exit administration, training customer feedback (TCF), etc.
Procurement and financial Lead -
Shall be responsible for preparation and execution of all contracts / POs (related to the customers, flight & maintenance training operations, FSTD team, etc.,) in coordination with the procurement, legal, finance, Operations, Simulator training devices and other related functions.
Shall manage Contractual training credit management
Shall undertake financial forecasting, AOP, CAPEX dossiers and FC formulation for all training services for the GM’s review and approval.
Cost optimization across all training services.
Development of local Pricing Strategy.
Local pricing for all sales campaigns and additional training contracts.
KPI monitoring and Business reporting (MBRs at AIPL, AIS, and STT), weekly reports of training centres and proactively highlighting the risks to GM.
End to end general procurement activity including invoicing and budgeting
Special Strategic Projects -
Study and evaluate short, mid, and long-term strategic training objectives that will meet current and future customer training needs, particularly relating to training systems and programs that are cost efficient and effective in meeting the Airbus training objectives.
