When you join Jacobs as a Project Coordinator, you’ll support program/project initiation including organization development and assessment activities for project managers overseeing planning, design, and construction projects. You’ll be leading the project team and managing project-specific plans and tasks to ensure the orderly, efficient, and timely completion of the project tasks in accordance with the requirements specified in the contract documents. Job site activities may include supervision of project team activities and leadership including modelling Jacobs values. In this role, you will provide communication and stakeholder/public outreach support project scopes, edit reports and manuals for project deliverables and be responsible for the development of pricing proposals, risk assessment tools for projects and monthly status reports and invoice packages for clients. We’ll ask you to support monthly financial project reviews which consist of monthly statusing of project progress, tracking budget expenditures, and reporting the results to the project managers. Additionally, you’ll support subcontract processes by developing the internal documentation and facilitating obtaining the appropriate internal approvals and communication with subcontractors until each subcontract is complete. As a Project Coordinator, you’ll provide Services During Construction (SDC) Support, including project document control such as logging project correspondence, submittals, RFIs, proposed change orders, contract changes, etc. and routing documents to project team members and stakeholders, and support closeout documentation. Our Project Coordinator will support regional operations with monthly performance reports as well as labor forecasting, support business development needs, including responses to RFPs, proposals, and related work and support sales activities with client account plan updates and additional items as needed. • 10 years of experience in the Architecture / Engineering / Construction industry
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or other closely related field o Candidates without such a related Bachelor’s degree will be considered with 4 additional years of relevant experience o Master’s degree in related field, or Professional Engineer License (P.E.) will substitute for 2 years of experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills that clearly communicate work instructions, deadlines, priorities, and risks
• Strong user of Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project desired).
• Understanding of project management concepts including planning and budgeting, fee development, writing scopes of work, creating work breakdown structures and project delivery schedules for design and related services
• Strong organizational skills, ability to communicate with all levels of project staff and stakeholders
• Demonstrated self-starter able to perform job duties with minimal supervision
• Ability to travel when needed.
Ideally, you’ll also have:
• Experience in construction of Design & Build projects
• Experience in transportation, transit / rail project
