In this role, you’ll provide inspection and compliance oversight for maintenance activity at Frontier Class II stations. You’ll perform aircraft and specialized inspections, monitor outsourced maintenance, verify Required Inspection Items, review aircraft records and support return-to-service decisions. You’ll also work closely with Maintenance Control, Planning, Materials and maintenance vendors to help ensure Frontier aircraft meet applicable safety, regulatory and company requirements.

Leadership scope
This role provides inspection and compliance oversight for both contracted and Frontier Technical Operations activities at assigned Class II stations.
What To Expect
- This role operates with general direction and typically receives limited day-to-day instruction, with broader guidance provided for new assignments.
- The position requires light physical effort, including handling objects up to 20 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently.
What You’ll Do
Protect aircraft airworthiness and compliance
- Provide ongoing safety and compliance oversight at assigned Class II stations.
- Perform aircraft maintenance inspections as required, including borescope inspections.
- Perform NDT Level 1 inspections using Eddy Current, Ultrasonic Testing and Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection.
- Ensure Required Inspection Item (RII) policies and procedures are followed.
- Provide inspection support for field trips as required.
- Perform receiving inspections as necessary.
- Approve return to service following maintenance, preventive maintenance and alterations.
- Provide Airworthiness Release.
- Reject work determined to be unsatisfactory in accordance with published procedures.
Oversee maintenance and vendor performance
- Audit and monitor maintenance and inspection activity to support the airworthiness of Frontier aircraft undergoing outsourced maintenance.
- Ensure vendors provide detailed turnover of work in progress between shifts.
- Verify that vendor-assigned RII-qualified technicians maintain required Frontier training.
- Monitor vendor performance, identify deficiencies and collaborate on corrective action when necessary.
- Provide oversight of contracted and Frontier elements within the scope of Technical Operations at assigned Class II stations.
- Communicate identified deficiencies, regulatory issues and safety concerns to the Manager of Inspection or Assistant Chief Inspector.
Keep aircraft records accurate
- Audit in-process and completed aircraft records, including logbook pages, work cards, non-routines and applicable Engineering Orders, Engineering Authorizations and related documentation.
- Provide buy-back of RII and Non-RII maintenance actions.
- Help ensure maintenance documentation supports compliant return-to-service decisions.
Support the operation
- Participate in daily Operations, Materials and Maintenance Planning conferences.
- Monitor AOG reports with the Maintenance Control Center to help ensure required materials are available for AOG and out-of-service aircraft.
- Conduct lost and found tool investigations and complete required reports.
What You’ll Bring
Required qualifications
- Current FAA Mechanic Certificate with both Airframe and Powerplant ratings, held for at least five years.
- Three years of maintenance experience on different types of large airplanes with 10 or more passenger seats at an air carrier or certificated repair station, including at least one year as a maintenance inspector.
- Ability to obtain, hold and maintain Required Inspection Item authorization.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Airworthiness Release and return-to-service authorization.
- Ability to become and remain fleet-qualified on Frontier aircraft.
- Current U.S. passport or ability to obtain one within three months of assignment to the Inspection Department.
- Ability to communicate clearly.
- Proficiency with Excel, Word and Adobe.
- Ability to demonstrate Frontier’s core values of customer first, safety always, operational excellence and one team.
Preferred Qualification
- At least one year of prior supervisory experience maintaining the same category and class of aircraft as the Frontier fleet.
