Continuing Airworthiness Manager (CAM).
This is a key leadership position responsible for ensuring the continuing airworthiness, regulatory compliance, and maintenance oversight of a modern training aircraft fleet. The successful candidate will lead the CAMO function, acting as the focal point for all continuing airworthiness activities while working closely with operational, engineering, and regulatory stakeholders.
The role offers the opportunity to play a significant part in the development of the organisation's maintenance and airworthiness capabilities whilst supporting a dynamic and growing flight training environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all Continuing Airworthiness Management activities.
- Support the development and implementation of an on-site maintenance capability.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable UK CAA regulations, approvals and exposition requirements.
- Manage fleet maintenance planning to maximise aircraft availability and minimise downtime.
- Coordinate scheduled maintenance and defect rectification with operational departments.
- Oversee airworthiness reviews, certification activities and technical records management.
- Maintain oversight of Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs) and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare, review and maintain engineering documentation, procedures and exposition manuals.
- Lead and manage maintenance personnel, resources and hangar activities.
- Ensure engineering, quality and safety procedures are adhered to throughout the organisation.
- Foster strong working relationships with regulatory authorities, maintenance providers and operational stakeholders.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience within a Continuing Airworthiness Management environment.
- Previous experience working within a flight training, general aviation or similar operational environment.
- Strong knowledge of UK CAA and EASA continuing airworthiness regulations.
- Previous experience as a UK CAA Form 4 Postholder (CAM) is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
- Adaptable, proactive and capable of driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Significant experience supporting relevant aircraft types and maintenance activities.
