Overview

Since that time, we have developed to become a critical partner in the global aviation industry, delivering time-critical logistics services at 350 locations in more than 65 countries, across six continents.
But at the heart of our business is our people.
GSE Officer
Menzies Aviation
Do you have a practical mindset and enjoy making sure things work when the operation needs them?
At Menzies Aviation, we provide ground handling services for airlines at Copenhagen Airport. To do that, we rely on a large fleet of
Ground Support Equipment (GSE) – everything from baggage tractors and belt loaders to pushbacks, loaders, baggage belts and other equipment used to handle aircraft safely and efficiently.
We are now looking for a
GSE Officer to help us keep that fleet safe, reliable and available for the operation.
This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with our Ramp team, maintenance providers and equipment suppliers. You will be out in the operation, checking equipment, following up on defects and repairs, and making sure issues are followed through rather than simply reported.
You will report to our
Ramp Manager and work closely with our
Regional GSE Manager on technical and GSE-related matters.
What You Will Do
- Keep an overview of the condition and availability of our GSE fleet
- Carry out regular checks of equipment and follow up on defects, repairs and maintenance
- Identify equipment that is unsafe or not fit for operation and make sure it is taken out of service
- Coordinate equipment with workshops and maintenance providers and follow it through until it is back in operation
- Work closely with suppliers and maintenance partners to make sure repairs, servicing and other issues are followed up properly
- Be a visible and supportive GSE resource for the Ramp and wider operation
- Keep fleet information, checks and documentation accurate and up to date
- Support quality checks after maintenance and repairs
- Provide technical and practical input when maintenance work, equipment condition or supplier invoices need to be reviewed
- Support new equipment, trials, audits and improvement initiatives
- Help the operation get the most out of our equipment while always putting safety first
What are we looking for?
You don't need to be a mechanic or a GSE expert to be successful in this role. What matters most is that you are
practical, curious and comfortable around vehicles and machinery, and that you take ownership when something needs to be fixed or followed up.
You could come from aviation, ground handling, mechanics, fleet management, transport, machinery or another technical environment.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has practical experience with vehicles, machinery or technical equipment
- Likes being close to the operation and is not afraid to get involved when something needs to be checked, moved or fixed
- Takes ownership and follows things through
- Is comfortable working with suppliers and maintenance providers
- Can organise your own work and keep track of several issues at the same time
- Has a good eye for when equipment, safety or quality is not where it should be
- Is comfortable working with Excel and other systems to keep information and documentation up to date
- Has a driving licence and is able to obtain the required airside driving permits
- Speaks and writes Danish and English
What do we offer?
You will become an important part of our Copenhagen operation and have a role where your work is visible every day.
You will work closely with the Ramp team, suppliers, maintenance partners and our Regional GSE function, giving you a good mix of
hands-on work, coordination and technical development.
You will get training in Menzies' GSE standards and the opportunity to develop your knowledge of aircraft ground equipment, maintenance and airport operations.
Most importantly, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference to how reliably and safely our equipment supports the operation.
Location: Copenhagen Airport
Employment: Permanent
Start date: As soon as possible
