Senior Manager, Master Black Belt

Position Summary
This role is responsible to lead the organisation’s Lean Six Sigma (LSS) transformation by setting the improvement strategy, building internal capability, and coaching leaders and practitioners to deliver measurable business value. The role provides Master Black Belt expertise, methodology, governance, and portfolio oversight, while enabling business teams to own and sustain continuous improvement as part of BAU across people, process, technology, digital, and customer experience.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead LSS strategy, roadmap and improvement portfolio aligned to business priorities.
- Establish LSS standards, methodology, governance and certification framework.
- Develop and deliver LSS training for Black Belt, Green Belt and Yellow Belt programmes.
- Coach leaders and practitioners on problem-solving and value delivery.
- Drive high-value improvements, benefits realisation and sustainable business ownership.
- Partner with Business Units to identify and prioritise LSS improvement projects.
- Assess projects based on impact, alignment, feasibility and benefits.
- Provide Master Black Belt guidance on project scope, methodology and outcomes.
- Monitor projects and resolve technical or methodological challenges.
- Ensure measurable outcomes and sustainability in BAU.
- Build a culture of continuous improvement aligned with “Be Better Every Day”.
- Develop and mentor LSS practitioners, champions and internal trainers.
- Strengthen internal LSS capability and business ownership.
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Encourage employees to identify and drive improvement opportunities.
- Successful delivery of the LSS strategy, roadmap and improvement portfolio.
- Measurable financial, productivity, service and customer benefits from improvement initiatives.
- Strong LSS capability across Black Belt, Green Belt and Yellow Belt practitioners.
- High adoption and sustained application of LSS methodology across Business Units.
- Improved continuous improvement culture and increased business ownership of LSS initiatives.
Qualifications and Years of Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Operations, Analytics or related discipline; Master’s preferred.
- Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt certification, with relevant LSS or continuous improvement certification preferred.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience, including LSS/continuous improvement leadership.
