About The Role & Team
The Product Owner (PO) for Smart Path Mobile is responsible for maximizing the business value in software products delivered by Agile Scrum Teams. The PO has a strong technical and operational understanding of the product working closely with their Product Manager (and often adjacent ones) to gain a clear understanding of the business problems customers face, in the context of the vision and strategic direction of SITA’s broader portfolio.
what You’ll Do
- Works closely with the Product Manager to translate both the Product and larger Portfolio Vision into tangible, high-quality software that delights customers and delivers value
- Manages the Product Backlog
- Works with Product Manager to map backlog to roadmap managed in Aha! product management tool
- Populates the Product Backlog with artifacts that provide the next level of detail to support the delivery of the product roadmap
- Specifies functional and non-functional requirements and acceptance criteria
- Monitors allocation of team resources
- Attends Scrum team daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and end-of-sprint demos/reviews
- Supports global business development with always-available product demo capabilities that are always up-to-date with the latest developed capabilities
Qualifications
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a significant product owner function.
- Delivery of high-volume consumer-facing mobile apps and/or SDKs embedded in them on both Android and iOS platforms
- Strong knowledge of Android and iOS mobile development, internal-release processes, and app store publishing processes.
- Creative thinking and good foresight is valuable - spotting the problems before they become problems, and thinking outside-the-box
- Keen eye for sizing of development tasks and understanding the nature and difficulty of the work being done.
- Conversant in Privacy by Design principles.
- Business / Engineering / Science related qualification to at least Bachelor’s Degree level.
Nice-to-have
- Experience in air transport industry.
- Direct experience with handling sensitive data securely and compliant with regional and local data protection/security regulations, including GDPR.
- Knowledge of digital identity, Know Your Customer (KYC) practices, and biometrics.
- Basic understanding of modern encryption technologies, including blockchain.
