Get your hard hat ready. We’re not just renovating the travel experience – we’re renovating our physical spaces too. And our Corporate Real Estate team is on the front lines of procuring, designing and developing spaces at all our hubs, stations and city locations across the world. From airport affairs and business services to planning and development, this team is responsible for all our leases and major construction and renovation projects, system wide.
Key Responsibilities
Support Planning and Development and Business Services team in the management of facility project portfolios. Includes the support for day-to-day operations and coordination of standard processes, metrics, and reporting for our regional project management teams. As well as support of centralized capital and operating forecasts, support of data gathering/ analysis and other points of interface between CRE and Finance and other external partners. This role will provide technical and tactical support for regional project managers to ensure successful project delivery.
Management and Partner Reporting
- Support data collection and distribution of standard communications and presentations for the division level, as well as ad hoc communication as needed
Process Management and Continuous Improvement
- Support regional teams with standard processes and procedures that facilitate the duties above in a streamlined and detailed way AND support CRE’s departmental level goal
Financial Reporting and Support
- Support centralized roll up of CAPEX and OPEX forecasts and serve as the primary contact with financial communications
Financial Forecasting & Resource Planning
- Support capital project, operating expense forecast projections and resource plans
- Support management of long-term financial plans and accounting processes
- Will be required to respond to evolving and sometimes urgent needs that could be anything from assisting in developing presentations, models/analysis to facilitating a high-level meeting
- Use technical knowledge experience to provide thoughtful decision making in strategic implementation of United’s approved projects
- Accountable for providing constant and clear communication to their project team, leadership, business partners
- 30% travel required

Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Business/Finance/Engineering/Construction Management
- 2+ years of relevant work experience
- Experience in areas such as Business Management, Business Administration, Finance, Construction Management, Project Management, Centralized Support, Process Improvement
- Knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Powerpoint)
- Basic portfolio management, collecting and organizing information in a coherent way
- Ability to engage with project managers and troubleshoot needs productively
- Some familiarity / understanding of construction project management lifecycle, infrastructure/facilities projects
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
- At least 1 year in aviation-related finance, accounting, revenue management, strategy planning function
- Experience with capital project and portfolio management or corporate finance background
- Experience with PowerBI is a plus
