About The Role & Team
As the Lead Software Developer, you will write and deliver complex code and modules for new features, debug existing code and modules, and guide less experienced developers, including FTEs, contractors, and offshore partner resources, in these activities. You will participate in developing coding practices, guidelines, and technical processes, ensuring adherence by junior developers.
What You’ll Do
- Write and deliver complex code and modules for new features debugs existing code and modules and as the “technical lead” guide less experienced Developers - FTEs, Contractors, Offshore Partner Resources - on such activities.
- Participate in the development of coding practices guidelines and all technical processes and ensure they are followed by less experienced Developers.
- Participate in gathering managing and analyzing requirements to design new application and system features.
- Be responsible for overall estimates produced by less experienced Developers on a team for all technical work.
Qualifications
ABOUT YOUR SKILLS:
- 8+ years’ experience in a software engineering environment designing and developing software application features.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer sciences or Engineering
- Extensive experience with Java 11 + or higher version
- Proficient in Spring Boot and Spring Cloud frameworks
- Strong background in event-driven architecture
- Deep understanding of design principles and best practices
- Experience with document-based databases, Particularly MongoDB
- Knowledge of caching techniques and strategies
- Experience implementing distributed tracing systems
Nice-to-have
- Professional programming certification in a mainstream programming language is a plus.
- Formal training in project management preferred.
