Reports To
Manager, Ground Operations
Role Purpose
Manage, plan and monitor ground operations at Station to ensure service delivery is implemented in accordance to Company service standards; and ensure aircraft operate in a safe, secured environment and in full compliance with the regulatory requirements, company policies and SOPs.
Key Accountability
- Responsible and accountable for all ground operational matters at Station including Ground Handling, Airport Services, In-flight Catering operations and CVP implementation at every touch points.
- Plan and control the operating expenses to ensure within the approved budget.
- Plan daily operation audit to monitor ground handlers resources and performance in accordance to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Service Level Agreement (SLA).
- Plan periodical audit to monitor KPIs, safety & security issues and ensure staff & 3rd party Ground Handling Agents (GHA) are in compliance to the safety and regulatory requirements, SOPs, accurate reporting and recording of information.
- Provide daily strategic operation directives to ground handlers based on the agreed plan by OCC to address daily challenges (e.g. aircraft/crew shortage, flight disruptions etc.) through effective communications and working relationship.
- Ensure maintenance of the Station Emergency Respond Plan (SERP) and execute/implement SERP as and when required.
Qualifications & Working Experience
- Degree in any field with 3 years of working experience preferably in airline operations.
- Diploma in any field with 6 years of working experience preferably in airline operations.
Areas of Experience
- Good knowledge of relevant Malaysian and International Statutory Regulations such as CAAM, IOSA, IATA, ICAO etc.
- Strong leadership, good communications and interpersonal skills.
- Positive work attitude, a good team player, able to meet tight deadlines and ready to take additional responsibility.
