The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team:
As the Associate Director of Special Projects & Strategy for Business Services, you will report to the VP of Business Services, working alongside the leadership team and other cross-functional leaders across Business Services. In this role, you will help drive operational efficiencies and lead highly visible, cross-functional initiatives across RTX Business Services globally.
What You Will Do
- Lead the planning, execution and monitoring of special projects across Business Services to improve operational performance in alignment with business strategy.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to help align the organization’s objectives and help define the 5-year business strategy, roadmap and vision.
- Provide a sounding board on matters of strategy, execution, and operations to the VP of Business Services
- Lead special projects in the Business Services’ service domain areas (Finance, People, Payroll, Procurement, etc) as needed to improve performance
- Manage cross-functional projects with effective project management to track progress, resolve highly complex issues, and influence business leaders.
- Proactively identify gaps and inefficiencies across the organization and provide recommended solutions to close.
- Share best practices and industry lessons learned to grow the shared services competency across the organization both within Business Services
- Frequent travel to Business Services Hubs
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in areas such as Finance, HR, Procurement, Management Consulting, Strategic Planning or a similar field and 12 years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in the appropriate discipline and 10 years of relevant experience.
- 10+ years of project management experience executing autonomously and leading multiple, strategic projects with minimal oversight or direction
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and administrative abilities.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally, solve complex problems, lead through ambiguity and communicate effectively with all levels of leadership.
- Experience building proven relationships and influencing all levels of the organization. Demonstrated ability to work across multiple functions with highly matrixed teams who do not report directly into you.
- Knowledgeable across external, Global Business shared services’ best practices in industry and ability to translate those best practices to RTX.
- Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

This position is currently designated as remote. However, the successful candidate will be required to work from one of the 50 U.S. states (excluding U.S. Territories). The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.
Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
