About The Role
The Entrepreneurial Innovation Manager plays a pivotal role in driving innovation within the commercial aviation technology sector. This position combines the dynamic roles of an innovation business developer and product manager with an entrepreneurial mindset. The candidate will engage directly with customers, including airlines and airports, to identify opportunities for co-innovation and develop solutions that enhance customer experiences and drive business value.
This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact by collaborating with some of the leading companies in the aviation sector. The successful candidate will contribute to shaping the future of commercial aviation technology through proactive innovation and customer-driven solutions.
What You Will Do
Co-Innovation Initiatives
- Collaborate with airlines and airports to identify pain points and gather insights that lead to meaningful innovations.
Product Development
- Oversee the development and enhancement of technology products, ensuring alignment with customer needs and market trends.
Market Research
- Conduct research to stay ahead of industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer requirements, translating findings into actionable strategies.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners, to drive initiatives forward.
Project Management
- Lead projects using Agile methodologies, ensuring timely execution while maintaining a user-centric focus.
Technology Advocacy
- Encourage the adoption of innovative technologies and practices within the organization to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience in innovation management, business development, or product management, preferably in technology-driven environments.
- Demonstrated success in engaging with customers and translating their needs into successful product or service innovations.
- Experience in facilitating collaboration between cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong grasp of emerging technologies, particularly in software and hardware relevant to the aviation technology sector.
- Solid understanding of business strategies, customer development, and successful startup dynamics.
- Familiarity with UX principles and methodologies that prioritize customer satisfaction and enhance product usability.
- Proficiency in Agile project management practices to deliver projects efficiently and responsively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills to assess market data, identify trends, and inform strategic decisions.
- Ability to think creatively and solve complex problems in innovative ways.
