Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in real estate, business, or a related field.
- 5 to 10 years of experience as a Right of Way Agent or in real estate, land acquisition, or related roles.
- Proficiency in land acquisition laws, regulations, and real estate transactions.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Knowledge of appraisal methods and procedures.
- Experience with title research and property records.
- Ability to work with legal documents and contracts.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and real estate software.
- A valid real estate license, if required by the state
- Ensure that the necessary land rights and permits are secured in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements
- Land Acquisition: Identify, negotiate, and acquire land rights and easements required for projects, such as infrastructure development, utilities, pipelines, or transportation.
- Conduct thorough research to assess property ownership, legal descriptions, zoning regulations, environmental restrictions, and any potential title issues that may affect land acquisition.
- Negotiate with property owners and stakeholders to reach agreements on land acquisition, considering fair market values, terms, and conditions.
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies to secure permits and approvals required for land acquisition and project development, ensuring full compliance with legal and environmental regulations.
- Review and analyze land titles and legal documents to ensure clarity and consistency in property ownership records.
- Work with appraisers to determine the value of properties, ensuring fair compensation for landowners.
- Prepare, review, and maintain legal documents, contracts, deeds, and agreements associated with land acquisitions, recording all necessary information.
- Communicate and build positive relationships with landowners, stakeholders, and local communities to address concerns, provide information, and represent the organization effectively.
- Manage budgets associated with land acquisition, appraisal costs, legal fees, and related expenses.
- Stay informed about local, state, and federal laws and regulations related to land acquisition, ensuring full compliance.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, surveyors, and legal counsel to facilitate land acquisition for project development.
- Address conflicts or disputes that may arise during land acquisition processes, working to find amicable solutions.
