The role:
To manage a mixed portfolio of both Travel Trade & Corporate accounts on behalf of British Airways & Iberia to maximise revenue, share , drive tactical activity and performance
This is a remote based role, that will require the successful candidate to work from home with frequent duty travels across Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey and Georgia plus travels to both our headquarters in London and Madrid.
What you’ll do:
- Deliver revenue by understanding customer needs and matching to relevant products
- Analyse data and use insights to drive revenue generating/share shifting actions
- Deep penetration of decision making unit in accounts to expand influence map
- Conduct high touch performance reviews to drive deal performance via face to face
- Negotiation of specific deals, implementing SMA activities
- Leverage waiver and favour budget allocation to maximise return of investment
- Sourcing new business opportunities
- Upsell opportunities to existing customer base
- Delivery of face to face and digital conferencing/training
- Proactively source market intel and insights and feedback
- Create and complete high touch account development plans for portfolios
- Strengthen relationships by acting as a touchpoint for customer concern of issues or waiver/favour initiation
- Face of BA/IB to the market, and represent the views from market
- Representation for BA/IB and collaboration with joint partners
- Promote, educate and drive NDC adoption across market
- There is an expectation that you will undertake adhocwork on an exceptional basis or provide relevant cover for other team tasks
What you’ll bring to British Airways:
- Digitally minded -demonstration of utilising digital selling and other innovative ways of working to achieve revenue targets
- CRM management
- Experience in Engaging audiences via remote live events, etc.
- Advanced communication, negotiation and influencing skills
- Excellent communication
- Strong work ethic
- Drive and ambition to meet and exceed targets
- Ability to work in self-directed, fast-paced environment
- Ability to evaluate data and metrics effectively to ensure focus on commercial opportunities (essential)
- Demonstration of utilising digital selling and other innovative ways of working to achieve revenue targets
- Experience of building productive working internal and external relationships in a multi-cultural hub-based environment
Your experience:
- Minimum of 2 years account management or equivalent commercial experience (desirable)
- Language relevant to the market(s) served
