Job Summary
To develop, integrate and implement technical solutions and compliance documentation compliant with all relevant customer, regulatory, and airworthiness requirements, within agreed program, schedule, and manufacturing constraints.
Job Responsibilities
- Support the creation of technical solutions against customer requirements by performing static, stability, fatigue and damage tolerance analyses.
- Write stress reports to support product definition, identify technical problems and apply/integrate solutions.
- Generate assigned project deliverables, documents, and reports according to the project signature authorizations.
- Perform all activities at a level of minimal supervision, with an optimum balance between quality, budget and time and support other engineers with peer-to-peer reviews.
Knowledge requirements
- Holds relevant technical qualifications (Bachelor, Master or equivalent) in Mechanical or Aeropspace Engineering to perform the engineering tasks.
- 3+ years (indicative) of relevant experience as a structural engineer ideally within an aerospace environment.
- Proficiency in metallic structural analysis methodologies.
- Strong background in classical hand calculation methods and the use of industry-standard reference materials.
- Experience with Abaqus or a similar finite element analysis software.
- Hands-on on Catia or other CAD software.
- Able to work towards holding a check / approval status.
- Able to act under own initiative in relation to the assigned tasks within defined functional procedures / governance.
- Ability to describe technical information of a technical task to a wide audience within the engineering business.
- Have basic knowledge of Lean Principles.
- The ability to have technical discussions with customers and suppliers as required.
