Job Title: Loadmaster

Reporting To: Operations Manager / Manager - Loadmaster - Trip Support / Head of Operations
A. Position Objective
- Responsible for overseeing the loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and optimizing aircraft space to maximize efficiency.
- Requires meticulous attention to detail, strong communication skills, and collaboration with various teams to ensure seamless cargo operations.
- Must have a deep understanding of airline regulations and compliances.
B. Key Responsibilities
- Compute Weight and Balance of the aircraft and execute cargo loading plans created by centralized load controllers.
- Conduct pre-arrival and post-arrival checks for flights as per airline guidelines.
- Determine optimal weight distribution and cargo placement to ensure stability and safety compliance.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all cargo, including weight, dimensions, and special handling requirements.
- Coordinate with relevant agencies for flight schedules and parking slots.
- Verify compliance with aviation regulations for hazardous materials and restricted items.
- Communicate with ground handling personnel and stakeholders to coordinate cargo loading/unloading activities.
- Liaise with maintenance and engineering teams for technical issues.
- Conduct pre-flight ramp inspections to ensure secure stowage and safety compliance.
- Address cargo discrepancies and report them for resolution.
- Participate in emergency response drills and safety training.
- Coordinate with service providers/vendors for smooth pre- and post-departure procedures.
- Ensure systematic and damage-free loading/unloading processes.
- Ensure proper execution of the load plan in adherence to aircraft safety.
- Conduct pre-departure inspections for compliance and adherence to processes.
- Collaborate with the crew for efficient aircraft turnaround.
- Inform crew of any flight delays.
- Coordinate with ATC for smooth aircraft clearance.
- Prepare and send reports related to respective flights as per airline guidelines.
C. Qualifications and Experience
- Academic Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in any field; Loadmaster Certification is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum 3–4 years of experience as a Loadmaster in aviation cargo operations.
D. Competency Requirements
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with load planning software for optimizing cargo distribution.
- Understanding of special loads, heavy cargo load ability analysis, and messaging systems used by airlines.
- Report preparation as per airline guidelines.
- Knowledge of aircraft weight and balance principles, cargo loading procedures, and aviation regulations.
- Experience with B747-400F, B747-8F, and B777F aircraft types preferred.
- DG certification required.
