About The Role & Team
The Project Coding Analyst plays a critical role in delivering, setting up, and supporting users in the creation & changes of Projects codes & Oracle Time-Labour requests.This position ensures accurate and efficient reporting processes, contributing to the seamless functioning of the Project code & Oracle Time-Labour process. The analyst is accountable for specific monthly processes within the Project code & Oracle Time-Labour. As part of the Global Project code Support team, the Analyst supports end-to-end processing, reporting and audit activities within the scope.
This role contributes to the success of one or more small to medium sub projects within Finance ensuring delivery to the agreed scope on time on budget and at the targeted quality level. This role is specifically responsible for providing project documentation and interpretation of end-user requirements to the information systems and will play a key role in the execution of these plans.
What You Will Do
- Provide on-going process and system support to the finance community manage operational issues.
- Support finance teams during the planning phase with key inputs to the project steering committee to ensure that the project is realistic from a cost quality and timing stand-point.
- Support the management of the project according to the agreed project plan and per the defined Project Methodology to reduce overall project risks manage issues and ensure efficiency.
- Create reports (KPIs) to measure and on data quality metrics.
- Document data quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging trends in Oracle Finance & Accounting modules.
- Process information in a complete and accurate manner in accordance to SLAs;
- Reconcile the data for the area of responsibility and provide details of any action to be taken and subsequent action plans.
- Resolve queries with the appropriate internal/external contacts and escalate to line manager when necessary.
- Provide information for internal and external audit as directed by line management and ensure completeness and accuracy of all such information.
- Identify organisational and process efficiency improvements.
- Implement specific department project and process improvement tasks.
- Produces monthly reporting as per agreed schedule.
- Reviews and updates internal processes and policies
- Supports audit requests by providing accurate and comprehensive analysis.
Qualifications
EXPERIENCE:
- Ideally 4-5 years of experience within the finance function; - Minimum 2 years PQE with knowledge working in an Oracle project environment with a proven track record managing one or more medium to large projects or Line of business. Worked on Oracle finance/accounting modules.
- 2-3 years’ work experience in a finance & accounting environment preferably within a medium size company with a matrix business structure
University Degree in Finance & Accounting or equivalent or Higher College education in Business studies
Knowledge & Skills
- Oracle knowledge
- Oracle project Coding and Oracle Master Data
- Proven experience in Finance & Accounting
- Advance Knowledge of Excel
- Financial Systems savvy in general.
Nice-to-have
- Previous experience in audit activities is an advantage.
- SFS / OAC knowledge as advantage
- PowerBI reporting
- Data analysis
