Job Overview And Responsibilities
The role of Specialist – Safety Programs Support provides leadership to the Inflight safety team through the ongoing administration and advocacy for Regulatory Compliance, Safety programs (ISAP, FA-FRMP), our Safety Management System (SMS), and ongoing quality assurance processes.
- Support the Inflight Fatigue Program through the independent investigation and collection of needed information to prepare reports for committee voting
- Organize and schedule weekly, monthly, and quarterly safety meetings through individual initiative in coordinating SMS department leadership availability
- Send correspondence for any resulting action items, including payroll, response to submitters, and base communications
- Independently investigates, analyzes, and prepares appropriate documentation for safety reporting appeal processes
- Ensure coding for flight attendant schedules are accurate
- Complete proactive and reactive SAFTE-FAST report preparation and analysis
- Compiles quarterly review deck for the Fatigue program
- Assists in all safety program administrative support to include Irregular Operation Report (IOR), Occupational Injury Support (OIS), and Regulatory Reporting Support
- Entry of Customer Alerts into tracking spreadsheet for processing
- Utilize critical thinking skills to construct presentation decks for all Safety Management System (SMS) meetings
- Verify incoming injury report accuracy on a weekly basis within the Occupational Injury System (OIS), in addition to completing a monthly review to ensure accuracy of injury coding by third party vendors
- Generate in-depth data charts for monthly Inflight Safety Recap leadership report
- Manage the accountability process for reporting due dates for Infight’s Safety Management System documentation within United's central safety data base
- Collaboration with Corporate Safety SMS team to enter and verify SMS reports/information into United’s corporate data base. This includes: Safety Risk Assessments (HIs and CAPAs), mitigations, and supporting documentation as it pertains to the proper completion of records
- Verification and tracking of reporting due dates with process owners on SMS, Regulatory, and QC programs
- Track flight attendant badge scanning data and provide independent analytical updates to base leadership
- Engage and coordinate with Inflight department leadership and process owners to ensure critical, timely completion of applicable Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance processes, regardless of time zone difference

Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ years related experience
- Knowledge of/Experience with:
- Aviation Safety Action Programs
- Fatigue Risk Management Programs
- Safety Management Systems
- Applicable portions of the Code of Federal Regulations governing air carrier operations, aviation security, occupational health and safety
- Must be legally authorized to work in India for any employer without sponsorship
- Must be fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
