Reporting to the Cargo Sales Manager UK, this role will be responsible for sales and customer service activities for agreed customers/territories in the UK. They will be responsible for generating and grow revenue and profitability; develop, maintain and grow strong business relationships with customers.
This role will be part of the Air Canada Cargo UK management team.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and execute the Cargo sales & marketing strategy in the assigned territory
- Negotiate cargo sales contracts
- Monitor sales accounts performance and revenue - Take appropriate corrective actions
- Use the CRM system and BI tools daily to capture and report sales activities
- Ensure all allocated customers opportunities are actioned via the sales platform and followed up within CRM
- Develop and increase cargo sales by creating and building strong commercial relationships through regular meetings.
- Provide strategic support to the Cargo Sales Manager UK and Cargo Sales Manager UK & IE.
- Local market analysis of competitor’s action (pricing, incentives, product, etc.)
- Support Inside Sales on any account enquires relating to their customer portfolio
- Cargo sales office administration & budget management (follow up of expenses and revenue, budget monitoring, etc.)
- Work in close collaboration with other Air Canada departments
- Represent Air Canada at sales events, workshops, etc. as appropriate
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Post graduate degree or diploma in Sales – Marketing background is an asset
- Previous experience in cargo sales (5 years minimum)
- Strong sales skills and excellent commercial sense
- Good Leadership & Management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, autonomous, organized and results oriented personality
- Strong communication (written & oral) and presentation skills
- Strong negotiating skills
- Computer literate
- Good knowledge of cargo IT systems
- Fluent in English, French is an asset
- Driver’s license and ability to travel extensively
- Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom unrestricted
