Responsibilities
- Production Planning and Scheduling:
- Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demand and company goals.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure the timely availability of materials, equipment, and resources.
- Quality Assurance:
- Implement and maintain stringent quality control measures throughout the manufacturing process.
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to address and resolve any quality issues promptly.
- Process Optimization:
- Continuously evaluate and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Implement best practices and lean manufacturing principles to streamline operations.
- Team Leadership:
- Supervise, mentor, and lead a team of manufacturing professionals.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Resource Management:
- Manage human and material resources effectively to meet production targets.
- Optimize the utilization of equipment and facilities to maximize productivity.
- Health and Safety Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures.
- Collaboration with R&D and Engineering:
- Work closely with the R&D and engineering teams to implement new product designs and improvements.
- Provide valuable input for design for manufacturability.
- Supplier Relationship Management:
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure a steady supply of high-quality materials.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to optimize costs and maintain strong supplier relationships.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
Proven experience in a manufacturing leadership role, preferably in the aerospace or drone industry.
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
In-depth understanding of quality control processes and standards.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations.
Experience with ERP systems and production planning tools.
