Job Summary
This role will be pivotal in shaping the Product and science behind dynamic pricing, demand forecasting, and network optimization, enabling real-time, scalable, and intelligent decision-making across the airline’s commercial functions.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Product Management, providing timely information, clarifying questions, removing roadblocks and ensuring Techno-functional development.
- Ensuring that strategic transformational change is embedded within IndiGo Digital, influencing, and leveraging relationships to gain buy-in of internal and external stakeholders.
- Work with multiple stakeholders across various streams & keep all informed about the progress, issues, risks & be able to manage them proactively.
- Ensure best in class solutions that minimize customization, through Solution design.
- Exposure to RFP/RFQ/RFI
- Provides advice on technical/Business aspects of system development and integration (including requests for changes, deviations from specifications, etc.) and ensures that relevant technical/Business strategies, policies, standards, and practices are applied correctly.
- Provide direction and thought leadership for executing complex business technology integration
- Produces detailed designs including for example: physical data flows, file layouts, common routines and utilities, program specifications or prototypes, and backup, recovery, and restart procedures.
- Maintains and applies up to date, specialist knowledge of database concepts, object and data modelling techniques and design principles, and a detailed knowledge of the full range of database architectures and software available.
- Collaborate with data engineering to build real-time and batch pipelines for booking, schedule, fare, competitor, and customer interaction data.
- Leverage data lake / data mesh architectures for unified access to structured and unstructured data.
- Define the Applications technical road map by selecting appropriate technologies, design standards, methods and tools, consistent with agreed enterprise and solution architectures and ensure they are applied effectively.
- Identifying and executing process improvements through implementation of industry standard best practices.
- Produces detailed component specifications and translates these into detailed designs for implementation using selected products.
- Strategic Collaboration & Leadership
- Partner with RM analysts and business stakeholders to translate domain requirements into scalable optimization and ML solutions.
- Lead cross-functional squads of data scientists, ML engineers, and digital engineers.
- Mentor teams in optimization modeling, ML best practices, and scalable architecture.
- Act as an evangelist for science-driven decision-making in RM across the organization.
Experience Required
- 13+ Years of Experience in information Technology Projects and Helping teams in converting complex business problems into efficient Solutions.
- Expert in Airline Revenue Management, Network Planning, helping teams in adapting new solutions.
- Familiarity with PSS systems (e.g., Navitaire), Kambr, ATPCO fare structures, and NDC retailing a plus.
- Ability to lead technical teams while being a hands-on contributor.
- Strong skills in articulating complex optimization/ML architectures to both technical and business audiences.
- Track record of cross-functional collaboration across business, engineering, and science teams.
- Hands-on Experience of IATA Products, ATPCO Fares, Revenue Integrity, Dynamic Pricing, Data Intelligence information of competitors, Code Share and Irregular Operations (IRROPS)
