Job Title: Assistant Manager Route Planning
Job Purpose
The role is responsible for supporting the development and optimization of the airline’s domestic and international route network. The incumbent will analyze route performance, assess market opportunities, and assist in formulating strategies that enhance commercial viability, operational efficiency, and overall profitability.
Key Responsibilitie
- Data Analysis & Reporting
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to route performance, market trends, and competitor activities.
- Maintain and manage commercial and operational datasets to support accurate and timely decision-making.
- Prepare regular analytical reports and dashboards for internal stakeholders.
- Route Evaluation & Network Planning
- Support the formulation of short-term and long-term network strategies.
- Conduct route feasibility studies, market assessments, and profitability analyses for new and existing routes.
- Assist in preparing business cases and recommendations for management approvals.
- Hub Planning & Connectivity
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of efficient hub structures and connections.
- Monitor passenger flows, transit patterns, and hub performance to optimize connectivity and aircraft utilization.
- Maintain accurate data on hub operations and share insights with relevant teams.
- Performance Monitoring
- Track and evaluate route and network performance against financial and operational benchmarks.
- Identify areas of improvement and propose corrective measures to enhance profitability.
- Collaborate with Revenue Management and Sales teams to align network strategies with commercial objectives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Revenue Management, Sales, Marketing, and Corporate Communications teams to ensure effective execution of route strategies.
- Act as a single point of contact (SPOC) for network-related communication and initiatives.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders such as airports and tourism boards for market development activities.
- Operational & Strategic Support
- Support management with detailed analytical inputs for strategic network decisions.
- Develop and maintain performance monitoring tools and assist in improving data processes.
- Participate in special projects related to network optimization and expansion.

Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, Aviation Management, Economics, or related field.
- Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
