Our Internship Programme is designed to empower you to explore diverse career paths that align with your passions, transcending the boundaries of your academic background. It provides a platform to kickstart your professional journey with invaluable paid hands-on experience at Cathay.
Our Design Team drives customer-centric design across all digital touchpoints. The team consists of DesignOps, User Research (UXR), and User Experience (UX/UI) design, ensuring consistent, intuitive, and engaging, scalable experiences across our digital products and that design decisions are backed by evidence.
As an intern in Design Team, you will have chance to explore design systems, develop prototypes, and work closely with Product Management to drive informed design, translating customer needs into impactful digital experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Explore problems deeply and shape meaningful solutions through concept development, prototyping, and visual exploration
- Conduct user research to users' needs and behaviors to ensure smooth delivery of personalised experiences
- Perform digital competitor and market intelligence to benchmark experiences and uncover opportunity areas
- Optimise design processes and resources across the teams, ensuring all designers can efficiently deliver their best results.
- Handle end‑to‑end customer journeys and craft personalised travel and lifestyle products that answer the needs of the users and serve the business goals
Requirements
- Year 2 or above undergraduates from Design / Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, or equivalent experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset
- Creative and innovative mindset
- Passion for the aviation industry
- Excellent command of written and spoken English
- Right of abode in Hong Kong (Non-local students with a "No Objection Letter" are welcome)
- Available to work full-time during the programme period (2 July – 27 Aug 2026)
