Role Introduction
Reports to: Crew Scheduling Executive
This role is part of a professional team in our Flight Operations Department, which consists of flight crew and ground staff teams, both working to ensure the highest standards of operational efficiency and service.
As a Crew Scheduling Officer, you will support the construction of pairings and rosters for flight crew and cabin crew in Crew Scheduling.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain close liaison with Planning, Crew Planning, Crew Operations, Inflight Services Delivery , Air Hong Kong and other related departments to facilitate smooth pairing production process.
- Assist in annual budgeting exercise and scenario studies to provide support for crew planning analytics and projections.
- Construct crew pairings and rosters in compliance with Civil Aviation Department (CAD) and Company requirements in a cost-effective manner.
- Responding to crew enquires on rosters and bids aspects.
- Generate reports from Jeppesen Crew Pairing (JCP) and/or Jeppesen Crew Rostering (JCR) and perform analysis with support from Executives or Assistant Manager Crew Scheduling.
- Provide feedback on variations and difficulties and issues during production cycle to Crew Scheduling Executives to ensure continuous improvement.
- Contribute to overall performance and continuous improvement process of the team.
- Rotate to the different streams in aim to further enhance job knowledge and skills in Crew Scheduling subject to business requirements.
- Support post roster and pairing activities.
- Support other crew resources functions in event of major disruptions.
- Maintaining technical knowledge required.
- Specific duties and responsibilities as delegated by Crew Scheduling Executive.
Requirements
Knowledge
- Tertiary education.
- Knowledge of Approved Flight Time Limitations Scheme (AFTLS) would be advantageous.
Skills
- Good command of both spoken and written English.
- Customer-focused, high change-oriented and flexible personality.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good analytical ability and a good team player.
- Good at Excel and Word or equivalent.
- Ability to work under pressure.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ airline experience.
