Key Responsibilities
The Enterprise PMO serves teams across United Airlines. The Project Manager is a trained, qualified professional who can apply United's Envision Design Build Activate (EDBA) framework and Program Management Life Cycle (PMLC) methodology to various businesses. This individual will enable teams to deliver assigned portfolios, programs and projects with high quality, in a timely manner, and with as-scoped benefits for our customers, frontline employees and supporting groups. Effective execution in this role is critical to achieving United's goal of leveraging portfolio management & project delivery capabilities as a strategic enabler, on every project, with every team and every day.
The Project Manager - PMO will deliver large/complex project(s) as assigned and serve as a change agent driving adoption of PMLC across the organization.
- Lead and manage projects as assigned. Projects will be focused on both corporate and/or operational functions
- Directly deliver high quality artifacts through all phases of the project lifecycle
- Coach, guide, train project team members and other PMs on project management principles and related artifacts and deliverables
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and presentation skills

Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree
- 4+ years managing projects
- Demonstrated successful project delivery
- Managing single, or multiple, large, complex projects across multiple functions
- Provide leadership, guidance, influence and mentoring for project teams
- Presenting, escalating and providing solutions to senior leadership
- Proven expertise successfully managing business and technical resources under an integrated project plan to ensure the alignment of resources
- Demonstrated proficiency in facilitating, delegating and motivating cross functional groups or activities
- Highly organized and the ability to multi-task competing priorities, demands and timelines
- Provides input on strategic decisions to leadership as required
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

- Master's degree
- Project Management (PMI) Certification
- Lean Six Sigma certification
- Airline experience preferred
