Key Responsibilities
The Senior Staff Representative- Flight Operations is primarily responsible to the Managing Director, Flight Operations and the Director of Operations, Flight Operations while providing operational, communications, program management and administrative support. The Senior Staff Representative will also support the Flight Operations Duty Manager in the Network Operations Center.
- Provides a first point of contact with pilots in administering and communicating operational policies, procedures, and facilitation direction to resolve issues. Research collective bargaining and contract interpretation to support the Chief Pilot Office in personnel and grievance issues. Provides direction in the absence of flight management in non-flying and non-discipline matters. Pilot dependability oversight for daily AMS tracking, pilot sick leave, works with CSC Admin team to coordinate leaves of absence and Illness leaves and medical grounding.
- Resolves non-flight issues and provides and interfaces with other field, headquarters, ALPA and station operations organizations. Works with the station control center and customer service operations to facilitate decisions or resolve issues affecting the daily operation. Attends for the base, meetings with the station to include safety, airport authority and FIS meetings.
- Must demonstrate comprehension of the UPA, including disciplinary process, EAP, grievances, medical, currency/training requirements and FFDO procedures. Will be responsible for pilot Records and needs to be knowledgeable in Pilot Qualifications. This position will be responsible for all FAA mandated pilot qualifications entries and crew legalities.
- Coordinates crew desk transactions and scheduling concerning trip drops for flight management. Serves as local coordinator of new and/or ad-hoc pilot training programs, i.e., OTL, Fuel Efficiency, Enhanced CLR and Sabre.
- Handles all budgetary efforts, complete base audits and manage local reports. Some audits include the OSHA facility audits and complete the audit report for the station’s Manager of Ground Safety. Will coordinate all new base systems and ensure the other staff is trained. Each base has airport systems and badging requirements and procedures that they will need to learn that airport.
- Interacts with other Managers – Base Business Operations to ensure policies, systems and business procedures are consistent and cost effective throughout the system. Works with Hub Manager and provides leadership to the pilot group on initiatives designed to improve the efficiency of the station’s operation.

Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant work experience
- 2 – 4 years administrative support experience
- Budget planning and implementation
- Project management
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Positive attitude and ability to adapt to constantly evolving work environment
- Highly organized, and the ability to multi-task challenging priorities
- Ability to work with other team members across the organization and with Base leadership
- Excellent communications skills - written and verbal
- Excellent time management skills
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is a crucial function of the position

- 3+ years Flight Operations experience
- Expert knowledge of current CBA
- Validated experience in employee and customer advocacy
- Experience administering union contracts
- CCS, Pilot Records knowledge
