What’s the role about?
The Accounts Payable / General Accounting Associate is responsible for processing various invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting month-end closing activities. This role ensures timely and accurate recording of operational expenses, including aviation-related charges, and supports asset tracking and reconciliation with key suppliers and government agencies.
Major Responsibilities
- Process invoices related to import/export charges, Bureau of Customs (BOC) fees, broker and freight charges.
- Handle invoice processing for catering supplies, landing and takeoff fees, aerobridge, and air navigation charges.
- Record and monitor all GPE (Ground Property Equipment) movements, including additions, transfers, and disposals.
- Process invoices for general materials, service providers, and other local payables.
- Assist in month-end closing activities, including preparation of accruals and adjustments for airport-related charges.
- Prepare manual journal entries and accruals as needed.
- Manage GPE clearance and accountability for resigning employees.
- Perform reconciliation of accounts with major suppliers and agencies such as MIAA, CAAP, MCIAA, and other related parties.
Who are we looking for? (Requirements)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or any related field
- At least 1–3 years of experience in Accounts Payable or General Accounting
- Experience in invoice processing, journal entries, and account reconciliation
- Familiarity with handling operational or logistics-related expenses is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
- Good communication skills
