As a
Program Evaluation Coordinator, you’ll support the Qantas Engineering Aircraft Projects team by providing commercial, technical, analytical, and governance advice with a primary focus on the scoping and definition of aircraft cabin programs.
You’ll evaluate configuration & product solutions, assess supplier technical and commercial inputs, and support informed decision making for future programs. Working closely with Engineering specialists, Project Managers, Procurement and Finance teams, you’ll bring clarity to complex specification development and help ensure programs are safe, compliant, cost-effective and aligned to business objectives.
This role is ideal for an analytical, detail oriented professional who enjoys working across disciplines and influencing outcomes through evidence based recommendations.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Analyse and validate commercial & technical inputs supporting cabin program scope, configuration, cost, schedule and risk
- Evaluate design and supplier solutions against safety, compliance, capability and business metrics
- In collaboration with Finance and Commercial teams develop budget estimates to support financial forecasting, and investment business case scenario modelling
- Prepare high-quality reports, dashboards and documentation for governance forums and program reviews
- Partner with Engineering, Project, and Commercial stakeholders to consolidate inputs into cohesive program assessments
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and embed lessons learned into future programs
What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years’ experience in an aviation engineering environment, CAMO or cabin evaluation role is highly desirable
- A degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business or a related discipline is highly desirable
- Ability to translate technical scope and configuration decisions into financial impacts and recommendations
- Strong analytical capability with experience developing evaluation models and insights
- Confidence preparing and presenting clear, concise recommendations for senior stakeholders
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI and project management tools
- A collaborative, proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- A strong commitment to safety, compliance and continuous improvement
