JSG is hiring a Laser Assembly Tech in Monrovia, CA.
Pay rate: $25-$28 DOE
Skills:
- Configure, calibrate, and evaluate Lasers, assemble Focusing Heads check working distance.
- Build a varied range of precision electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Build, wire-up and test semi-automated, single-operator materials processing workstations.
- Able to train/mentor new employees. Work with and train customers and service engineers.
- Read schematic and wiring diagrams.
- Professional soldering and wiring.
- Design and build wire harnesses.
- Must know electronic hardware like terminal blocks, connectors, panel components, switches, controls, indicators, panel meters – things found on industrial equipment.
- Light machining (i.e.) drilling holes in sheet metal to mount components.
- PC computer software and hardware troubleshooting
- 2-year electronics technical degree or equivalent trade school certificate and experience
- 2 – 5 years’ experience in building and testing one-of-a-kind custom equipment
- Worked of wiring diagrams.
- Worked out minor implementation changes on the fly to expedite, build and evaluate.
- Specified electronic control items like switches, indicators, terminal blocks from standard supply houses like Graingers, McMaster-Carr, Newark, etc.
