Role Introduction
Reports to: Head of Global Direct Retail
Shape Cathay’s global direct retail performance by supporting the formulation and execution of digital sales and channel proposition strategy. You will help drive global digital sales targets, enrich online fare product offerings, and act as a key interface between sales offices and headquarters business units.
Working across the Travel Shopping Platform, digital sales touchpoints and Marketing Cloud, you will translate commercial priorities into clearer propositions, better campaign practices and an omni-channel customer experience across sales and service. The work combines strategic thinking with practical delivery: reviewing campaign performance measures, guiding sales offices, aligning internal teams and engaging external partners to create commercial and strategic value.
Lead with care as well as commercial focus, supporting direct reports through coaching, collaboration and development conversations. Your contribution will help Cathay improve how customers shop, buy and connect with us online — moving people forward through more relevant, accessible and effective digital retail experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Head of Global Direct Retail to formulate digital sales strategy and perform execution
- Enrich product offering catalogue for digital channel and roll out key tools across sales offices
- Set clear business priorities for the internal teams supporting the Travel Shopping Platform and other digital sales touchpoints, and oversee the delivery performance of enhancements that align with the commercial priorities and corporate values
- Work with sales offices and headquarter business units to deliver an omni channel experience for customer across sales and service through Marketing Cloud.
- Participate in partnership discussion to drive commercial value and extend reach of new customers
- Instill best practice in campaign formulation and ensure a platform for best practice sharing among sales offices is in place
People Development and Performance Management
- Lead, support, coach, and inspire the team to achieve commercial and strategic success
- Supervise and mentor direct reports, promoting a culture of effective cross-functional collaboration and identifying learning opportunities to ensure appropriate training and development is in place; maintain active and ongoing dialogue with team members regarding individual goals, performance expectations, and growth plans
- Consistently uphold Cathay’s core values and modelling excellence in execution and behaviour; engage employees meaningfully to enhance communication, alignment with departmental objectives, and understanding of strategic priorities.
- Perform any other reasonable tasks as required to support team development
Requirements
- University degree preferably in Business, Marketing, Economics, Communications or related discipline
- Minimum 7 years of experience in digital sales & distribution or eCommerce
- Experience with airline or hospitality industry a definite advantage
- Experience in sales strategy formulation and corporate change management
- Strong in Google Analytics and other digital sales tools
- Excellent commercial acumen and possess an analytical mind-set
- Ability to build trust, influence, and promote collaboration among a wide range of stakeholders
- Take ownership, resourceful and decisive
