Position Summary
The Senior Executive for Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) support the Assistant Manager by implementing and enhancing the SHEQ Management Systems at MAG Culinary Solutions (MAGCS).
This role focuses on ensuring operational execution, monitoring compliance, managing risks, and engaging with frontline staff to maintain a safe and hygienic catering environment. Alignment with standards from the DOSH, the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM), and airline regulations is essential. The Senior Executive promotes a culture of safety and quality throughout all operations.
Key Accountabilities
- Assist in the execution and enforcement of MAGCS SHE policies, procedures, and programs across all operational areas including OSH, SMS QMS requirements
- Guide and collaborate with business unit in conducting hazard identification, risk assessments (HIRARC), and recommend practical mitigation measures and monitor implementation effectiveness
- Perform regular workplace inspections across catering facilities, equipment handling areas, and airside operations, identify unsafe acts/conditions and track for closure
- Manage the reporting and documentation of incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
- Support the implementation and testing of ERP, including drills and exercises.
- Support internal audits, regulatory inspections, and airline audits by preparing documentation and coordinating site readiness.
- Prepare periodic reports, dashboards, and trend analyses for Safety Action Group (SAG) Meeting, Safety Review Meeting (SRM), Safety, Security, Health & Environment Board Council (SSHE BC) to be reviewed by the Assistant Manager.
- Liaise with business units to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards with external parties including DOSH, CAAM, MAHB, MOH, and auditors during inspections.
- Conduct Safety and Just Culture Briefing, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns to strengthen safety culture and support the SHE programs
Qualifications and Years of Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety & health, Environmental Management, Food Safety, Aviation Management, or equivalent
- Minimum 3-5 years in safety operations, preferably within aviation industry including SHE and QMS
Areas of Experience
Preferably within Aviation safety or Industrial safety, Logistics, or Food Manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role
