As a Manufacturing Services Engineer you will report to the Business Lead - Factory Transformation to ensure the organisation's objectives and goals are delivered.
You will take responsibility for coordinating and implementing the Manufacturing Services strategy in a brand new cutting edge facility on the Bristol site. You will support projects throughout the facility design and construction phases all the way through to Operational readiness.
What you will be doing:
- Working cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to help shape and define the Equipment Management strategy for a brand-new facility. E.g. Maintenance Planning, Statutory compliance, Managing Service Providers
- Work with Capability Acquisition teams to understand our equipment and machinery requirements. Be part of the down-selection process ensure the equipment will be capable, safe and ready for operations
- Working to Industrial Engineering principles to ensure effective footprint utilisation for both office and factory shop areas.
- Lead projects related to Equipment Management, Acquisition of Plant & Machinery, Factory Design & Layout changes.
- Work with External Service Providers to understand how they can best support us from construction phase through to operational readiness and onwards.
Position qualifications:
- Engineering apprenticeship to NVQ level 3,4 or equivalent.
- Experience in manufacturing / engineering environments and the associated plant & equipment
- Experience of working with external Service Providers including Contractor Management.
- Minimum of SC Clearance
Preferred requirements:
- Experience of reviewing & developing CAD Drawings
- Experience of optimising layouts for increased efficiency and flow
To work for the Rolls-Royce Defence business, an individual has to hold a Security Check clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently already have this in place.
