Position Summary
The Supply Chain Manager coordinates closely with site, division and group teams and provides site-level procurement leadership in accordance with Parker policies, processes, and direction. This position plans, coordinates and directs a variety of complex strategic and tactical procurement and material processes from initial supplier proposals through delivery of product ensuring objectives are met in supply chain quality, order management, delivery, cost, inventory goals and warehousing management. This position ensures all procurement activities operate in compliance with government laws (domestic/international), regulations and management objectives.
Executes the Win Strategy by developing and executing supply chain strategies that support operational performance, customer service, lean enterprise objectives, and business growth. Support in driving cross-functional alignment across operations, sales, finance, engineering, and suppliers to improve service levels, reduce costs, manage risk, and ensure efficient material flow throughout the value stream.
The Supply Chain Manager is part of the Senior Leadership Team for the site and reports to the Regional Supply Chain Manager, ASEAN. This role will have direct reports.
Responsibilities
MAIN DUTIES
- Lead end to end division supply chain strategy across materials management, procurement, production/inventory control, transportation, logistics, warehouse, and customer service.
- Manage and develop supply chain teams, including procurement, PC&L, compliance, logistics, and supplier development functions where applicable.
- Own and improve the division Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (S&OP) process to align demand, supply, capacity, and financial objectives.
- Drive supplier management initiatives, including supplier performance, development, risk mitigation, cost reduction, and continuous improvement.
- Oversee strategic production planning and inventory strategies to support customer delivery, working capital targets, and operational efficiency.
- Implement and sustain lean enterprise systems and continuous improvement practices across supply chain processes.
- Lead transportation and logistics activities to improve delivery performance, cost effectiveness, and compliance.
- Support and enhance electronic supply chain interfaces and digital processes to improve visibility, accuracy, and execution.
- Partner cross-functionally with sales, operations, engineering, quality, finance, and pricing to resolve supply chain constraints and improve business performance.
- Analyze supply chain performance metrics, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to achieve measurable improvements.
- Represents the supply chain at the division level.
- Provides leadership by promoting team concepts, coaching, counseling, retaining, mentoring, training, talent management, and individual development. Drives a culture of accountability and results through strategy deployment and effective performance management.
- Work with HR on recruiting and training new and or a more junior staff
- Monitoring the team’s performance and motivating them to meet deadline
- Providing feedback and coaching to team members
- Close coordination with Country Sales & Operations Manager
- Reporting back to Regional ASEAN Supply Chain Manager
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Manage operational inventory levels to ensure adequate availability of ready-to-sell products aligned with customer demand, sales priorities, and service expectations.
- Optimize stock turn and working capital by balancing inventory availability with cost efficiency and inventory control targets.
- Monitor shipments and inventory performance including availability, stockouts, excess and obsolete inventory, order fill rates, and inventory aging.
- Develop procedures for special order requirements, product substitutions, and changing market demand patterns to maintain customer continuity and commercial agility.
- Establishes and maintains premier customer service.
- Establishes preferred supplier selection criteria based on supplier evaluations of price, quality, delivery, certifications, compliance with governmental procurement regulations and group programs.
- Develop crisis management and supplier backup contingency programs. Negotiates long term contracts in coordination with group staff and policies.
- Responsible for continuous improvements programs with suppliers.
- Manage the division’s transportation logistics to ensure distribution of products direct to customers, or through distribution centers / warehouses are completed with optimum service at the most efficient cost.
Qualifications
JOBHOLDER REQUIREMENTS
1. Min 10 (ten) years professional experience in similar industry, with at least 7 years proven working as Supply Chain Managerial levels.
2. Min bachelor degree in Management, Accounting or Finance from reputable university (or international equivalent); Advanced Degree Preferred.
3. Advance computer skills on MS office, Accounting Software, JDE, and databases
4. Certification in supply chain management preferred.
5. Proven knowledge of customs and formalities principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
6. Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into effective business decisions.
7. Possesses analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities, exposure to digital supply chain tools.
8. Knowledge and experience in Tax, Treasury, Auditing and Cost Accountant – especially from similar industry or consumer related business is a PLUS.
9. Knowledge of mining, oil and gas, plantation industry and other related industry accounting processes is a PLUS
10. Demonstrated effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
