Position Title
Manager, Inflight Cabin, Entertainment & Connectivity
Reports To
Senior Manager, Inflight Product (POS022375)
Role Purpose
Responsible for overseeing all aspects of product development and life cycle management for cabin hard & soft products, in-flight entertainment, and connectivity. They will plan policies, objectives, and initiatives, coordinate with subject-matter experts, and evaluate technical feasibility, design optimization, and production issues. The successful candidate will identify potential new product opportunities, provide recommendations from data analysis, and manage projects from concept to commercialization
Key Accountabiltiy
- Reports to senior manager and manages and guides the team when the senior manager is away.
- Assist on planning all aspects of product development policies, objectives, and initiatives that includes strategic product roadmap, product development, product launch, and product marketing related to cabin hard & soft products, in-flight entertainment and connectivity in order to gain maximum benefit from each product.
- Coordinate with subject-matter-expert to evaluate and resolve technical feasibility, design optimization, and production issues through cross functional department efforts.
- Maintains a systematic approach and oversees all aspects of product development and life cycle management including understanding market demands, technology trends, industry developments and the competitive field to identify potential new product opportunities
- Continuously look at longer term development, identify market opportunities and developing business cases for new product developments and current process re-engineering across all relevant touch points. To provide recommendation from data analysis that could potentially be implemented for product proposals. Assist the manager in cost benefit analysis, project budgets tracking and relevant regulatory approval acquisition.
- Responsible for project management and resource utilization and take a product from concept to commercialization successfully by monitoring the developments and enhancement, including continuous improvement post-implementation
- Responsible to develop and expose all directs report with the above job scope for succession planning preparation
Qualification & Experience
- Degree in Aviation studies or similar and above with 07 years experience
Special / Professional Certificate :
- Aviation – Cabin, soft furnishings, IFEC
- Digital IFE
- Aviation connectivity
- Mass communication
Areas of Experience
- Firm understanding of Aviation engineering & mechanics.
- Strong knowledge or background in marketing, customer experience, and aviation management.
- Experience in project management, data analysis, and hospitality is an added incentive.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are also essential for this role, as the Assistant Manager, Inflight & IFEC will work with cross-functional teams and external partners within the organization
