Key Accountability - Team Leadership and Management: Lead and mentor a team of creative professionals, including copywriters, designers, and content creators. Provide guidance, feedback, and support to foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture. Delegate tasks, manage workloads, and ensure the team delivers high-quality output that meets business objectives and brand standards.
- Brand Voice and Tone: Maintain and evolve the Malaysia Airlines brand voice and tone across all marketing communications. Ensure consistency in messaging while adapting tone to suit different channels, audiences, and campaign objectives.
- Copy Development: Write compelling copy for a variety of marketing materials, including print ads, TV commercials, digital banners, email campaigns, landing pages, and social media content. Craft messaging that effectively communicates key selling points, value propositions, and brand messaging in a clear and concise manner.
- Campaign Conceptualization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and develop integrated marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness, engagement, and conversion. Generate creative ideas and concepts that align with business objectives and resonate with our target audience.
- Product Launches / Major Campaigns: Lead copywriting efforts for new product launches or any other major campaigns, ensuring that messaging effectively communicates product features, benefits, and unique selling points. Develop engaging content that generates excitement and anticipation among customers and drives interest in the product.
- Tactical Promotions: Develop effective copy for tactical promotions and offers, such as discounts, sales events, and special promotions. Create urgency and incentive through persuasive messaging that encourages immediate action and drives conversion.
- SEO Optimization: Incorporate search engine optimization (SEO) best practices into copywriting efforts for digital channels. Collaborate with SEO specialists to optimize content for relevant keywords and improve organic search visibility.
- Quality Assurance: Proofread and edit copy to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to brand guidelines. Conduct thorough reviews of content to identify and correct errors, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement. Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market insights to inform copywriting strategies and messaging. Conduct research as needed to gather relevant information and data to support content development.
Qualification & Working Experience - Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Creative Writing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 to 6 years of experience as a copywriter in a creative agency or client FMCG environment, where you've been the wordsmith behind epic brand campaigns, product launches, and advertising wonders.
