Technical Operations
Technical Operations include the maintenance and overhaul of our aircraft. This includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities teams, supply chain teams, and more.
Key Responsibilities
As the Senior Specialist in Technical Operations Projects, you’ll lead and oversee moderate to large projects within Technical Ops, work cross-functionally with all divisions of United, and identify critical players, roles, and root causes to define and implement projects across our fleet. This includes aircraft maintenance technicians, engineers, planners, ground equipment and facilities teams, supply chain teams, and more.
- Support and management of large-scale, strategic, cross-functional projects; manage initiative timelines to meet milestones, project requirements, deliverables, goals, and objectives.
- Develop and track project management, including planning, risk management, project control, and change management, in alignment with established processes.
- Monitor performance data, track KPIs and metrics, and identify trends, potential risks, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Aided in developing project communications and reporting on project statuses and updates to team leadership, sponsors, and stakeholders.
Location: This position is based at the CSC Willis Tower in Chicago, IL, and offers a hybrid work schedule with three days in the office, subject to change according to company needs.

Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 3 – 5 years of relevant work experience
- Experience in Project Management or Change Management
- Proven ability to manage multiple large-scale projects, including planning and executing change management processes.
- Strong data analysis skills, with proficiency in Access, Excel, and similar tools
- Expertise in visual analytics tools (e.g., DOMO, Tableau, Spotfire)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively in diverse teams, demonstrating diplomacy and relationship-building.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.
- Ability to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
- Successful completion of the interview is required to meet job qualifications.
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.
What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):
- PMP, PROSCI, or other Change Management certification
- Knowledge of aircraft manuals and documentation
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies and tools
