Qatar Airways (QR) have embarked on an exciting journey to change how we interact with our customers. As part of this journey, we are now recruiting for the role of HR Assistant, which is a new addition to our HR team.
This is a local based role out of NYC. You will be responsible for providing administrative support to the HR department on all personnel matters to ensure accurate and timely processing in accordance with local legislation and QR policies.
Salary matrix for this role is $50,000 to $55,000 (this is a junior level position).
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the below:
- Support HR Manager and HR team with the day to day administration of all HR functions including recruiting, employee relations, benefits, compensation and special projects as needed.
- Perform Customer service functions by answering employee requests and questions. Provide advice and guidance to employee personnel policies and contractual obligations.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality with all work.
- Perform other department duties related to their position as directed by Head of Department.
- Prepare and maintain old and new employee files/requests/terminations, benefit enrollment and process documents of new joining staff.
- Liase with finance department in payroll preparation reconciliations.
- Assists with the preparation of the performance of review forms.
- Assist with conducting new hire orientation.
- Coordinate training requests and travel arrangements.
About You: The ideal candidate will have the below qualifications.
- Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience.
- Diploma or Associate Degree in HR or Business Administration.
- Knowledge of basic computer skills.
- MS Office, Windows, and HRMS system communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a multicultural environment.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Analytical skills.
- Ability to build relationships and work well across all functions/levels of the organization.
- Maintains confidentiality at all times.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Proven ability in demonstrating flexibility to meet the changing demands of the business needs.
