The Opportunity
We are looking for a talented RF Communications Engineer to join our Battlespace Communication System (BCS) Program. BCS is a next generation networking product that is the centrepiece for multiple projects and campaigns. The BCS combines both developmental and off the shelf hardware and software to provide world leading communications capability for ADF personnel. It can be rapidly deployed from anywhere, and its modular design provides a flexible, scalable solution that can be customized for various mission needs.

Responsibilities
In this role you will have the opportunity to be part of a multi-disciplinary team delivering world class capabilities across the full product development lifecycle and will see you contributing to the design and development of innovative products where your responsibilities will include:
- Design and development of radio communications systems.
- Integration and test of sensors and communications systems in both the lab and the platform.
- Development of link budgets and link performance analysis.
- Development of engineering documentation and configuration management of RF system hardware.
- Communicating and collaborating with a diverse, multi-disciplinary team, in a conscientious and inclusive way.
Experience/Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in electrical/electronic engineering, or communications systems engineering or similar discipline.
- Experience with radio or wireless bearer systems.
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet defence security requirements.
Desirable Experience (any)
- HF, VHF, UHF, SATCOM or Microwave systems experience.
- EMI/EMC MIL-STD-461/464 testing.
- RF COSITE, Antenna Coupling & RADHAZ analysis and test.
- RF Modelling, simulation and analysis.
- Tactical radio experience.
- RF Test equipment.
- Verification & Validation of RF systems.
