The role: Facility and Environment Assurance Lead
An opportunity has arisen for a Facility & Environmental Assurance Lead to work within the Compliance Team at British Airways Maintenance Glasgow (BAMG). The role is required to provide expert facility & environmental support on all development initiatives and projects. The Facility & Environmental Assurance Lead will be an expert on facility management and environmental compliance providing safe and secure place of work for Engineering staff, contractors and visitors across BAMG. They are responsible for ensuring compliance with current legislation and regulatory requirements, and for leading & driving continuous improvement activities within their areas of expertise.
What you’ll do:
- Day to day interface between all service partners, ensuring agreed service levels are achieved.
- Maintain all aspects of the environment management system and facility compliance, through audit activity and investigation.
- Provides specialist support and guidance for the business to enable the continual development of a positive and proactive sustainability culture.
- Deliver internal Environmental related training to meet regulatory and business needs.
- Manage finance and purchasing process to ensure all contracted services paid and receipted in a timely manner.
What you’ll bring to British Airways:
- Financial and budget management skills.
- Respond to emergency situations or other urgent issues involving the facility.
- Contract management.
- Good verbal and communication skills with a keen attention to detail.
Your experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in an Environmental or FM discipline (or equivalent).
- IEMA Foundation Certificate in Environmental Management (or equivalent)
- IOSH working safely (or equivalent) – desirable.
- Accredited Lead Auditor qualification – desirable.
- Working knowledge of engineering processes and procedures
