Technical Operations/Maintenance
Technical Operations Reliability team ensures United operates safely and dependably by analyzing aircraft defects and operational disruptions. The team monitors trends to notify maintenance and engineering teams of emerging issues and probable corrective actions.
Job Overview And Responsibilities
The Senior Analyst - Reliability will oversee data curation and creating and maintaining reliability datasets and dashboards. The role will help support Engineering and Reliability teams, providing accurate information and useful insights to help make better data-driven decisions. They will ensure appropriate support systems are in place for identifying root causes of key aircraft issues through reporting and analysis. They will develop dashboards and Scorecards and deliver scheduled and ad hoc reports to meet business requirements.
- Build high-quality operational dashboards and reports for leadership, front-line management, and individual business teams throughout the Tech Ops organization.
- Curating and presenting data in a meaningful manner in order to help drive informed engineering decisions. Producing fleet and system level reports tracking performance.
- Design meaningful metrics that indicate operational health and inform operational decisions.
- Providing accurate and useful data on time to support reliability engineering functions. Establishing a shared repository of data and reports.
- Continuously interface with business groups throughout technical operations to understand organizational needs and design solutions.
- Conducting periodic data quality audits to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Supporting ongoing reliability/fleet initiatives and ad-hoc requests

Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Statistics, Data Science analytics or related disciplines.
- 5+ years of experience in Data Analytics.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Data visualization skills using one or more reporting tools (i.e., Power BI, Spotfire, Tableau, ggplot2, etc.) to produce meaningful, elegant dashboards.
- Proficiency with using database querying tools, such as SQL, Python, MS Office tools (Excel).
- Ability to design and track meaningful Operational metrics.
- Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills.
- Superior attention to accuracy and detail.
- Fluent Communication.
Preferred
- Master's degree
- Programming in Palantir SLATE or similar dashboarding software.
- R or Python-Statistical Programming.
- Knowledge of aircraft fleet health and/or reliability programs
