ResponsibilitiesThe iOS Software Engineer designs, builds, and supports Spirit Airlines’ iOS mobile applications, delivering features that power booking, check‑in, loyalty, and guest self‑service experiences. This role partners closely with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality, scalable, and secure mobile solutions that enhance the guest experience.
- Design, develop, and maintain iOS applications using Swift
- Build user interfaces using UIKit and SwiftUI following Apple Human Interface Guidelines
- Participate fully in Agile ceremonies and sprint execution
- Collaborate with Android, API, QA, UX, and Product teams
- Improve and maintain CI/CD pipelines for iOS builds and App Store releases
- Monitor application performance and support production incidents
- Apply best practices for security, performance, accessibility, and maintainability
- Contribute to code reviews and architectural decisions
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 2-4 years of experience in IOS application development and Software Engineering
- Experience supporting production mobile apps
- Strong proficiency in Swift (Objective-C a plus)
- Experience with iOS SDK, Xcode, UIKit, SwiftUI
- REST API integration and mobile architecture patterns (MVVM, etc.)
- Automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Dynatrace, and Splunk is a plus
- Airline or travel industry experience is a plus
- Low Activity Lifting Requirements: Seldom lift up to 10 lbs, such as small office supplies or documents. Pushing/Pulling: Seldom pushing/pulling of light items within the workspace. Standing/Sitting Requirements: Primarily seated work, with occasional standing for brief tasks. Bending/Kneeling/Reaching: Occasional reaching within arm’s length to retrieve materials. Coordination: Basic manual coordination for standard office tasks (e.g., typing, using office equipment). Vision/Auditory Requirements: Clear vision for reading documents and screens; clear hearing for standard communication. Environmental Conditions: Indoor, climate-controlled environment.
