Senior Executive Engineer, Technical Services (Cabin)

Position Summary
Technically competent and proactive aviation professional to provide fleet technical support and ensure continuing airworthiness in the field of cabin interiors. The role supports both MAB fleet operations and third party customers, working closely with internal stakeholders, OEMs, and regulatory authorities to maintain safety, reliability, and cost effective operations.
Key Accountability
- Provide fleet technical support and continuing airworthiness management for aircraft cabin interiors, including seats, monuments, galleys, lavatories, linings, placards, emergency equipment, and cabin furnishings.
- Support operations during technical disruptions, including AOG and in service cabin defects, deferred items, repeated cabin issues, and technical delays related to cabin interiors.
- Conduct technical investigations and studies to identify root causes of cabin interior defects and implement corrective actions to improve dispatch reliability, passenger experience, and cabin quality.
- Review, evaluate, and manage manufacturer and regulatory technical documentation such as Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), Service Letters, etc.
- Propose and assess cabin interior modifications, repairs, materials, products, and process improvements to enhance maintainability, durability, safety, and operating economics.
- Carry out Design Organisation activities when delegated, including development of engineering procedures, in house cabin repairs, alternate parts approval, and deviations from OEM approved data under CAAM Part 21 privileges.
- Liaise with OEMs, seat and monument manufacturers, vendors, MROs, airlines, and internal departments on cabin interior engineering, modification, and support matters.
- Prepare technical justifications and recommendations to support internal decision making related to cost optimisation, repairs, refurbishment programs, supplier selection, and contract negotiations.
- Support and manage cabin related engineering projects such as refurbishment programs, reliability improvement initiatives, component repair/overhaul programs, aircraft end of lease activities, and budget planning.
- Prepare management papers, technical proposals, and cost analyses for cabin interior changes or projects, including recommendations for management approval.
- Perform additional duties and special assignments as required by the Manager, Cabin/System.
Qualification & Working Experience
- Degree in Aeronautical/Aerospace Engineering (or equivalent) with minimum 2 years' experience as Senior Technical Services Engineer with well-rounded technical experience, or LAE background and knowledge on MAB fleet
- Minimum experience as a Design Engineer having experience in cabin interiors field.
Personality Traits / Skill and Knowledge
- Experienced with technical and maintenance issues pertaining to cabin interiors for fleet such as but not limited to – B737, A330, A350, & ATR72.
- Excellent communication, presentation and decision-making capabilities.
- Able to do business case proposal and management papers.
- Familiar with CAMO and Part 21 Design Organisation regulations and procedures.

- Ability to efficiently manage, organize, allocate tasks, supervise and motivate engineers within the section.
- To manage up-to-date technical data, information and procedures required for operational use.
