Role Introduction
Reports to: General Manager Finance & Performance
- As a Finance Transformation Manager, you are responsible to enable Finance to deliver its digital transformation agenda by aligning technology, data, automation and process-improvement initiatives with the CFO’s vision and the Finance roadmap.
- As a Finance Transformation Manager, you are responsible to ensure key Finance SAP products, including SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP, Business Warehouse/Business Object (BO), SAP Budget, Planning & Consolidation(BPC) and SAP Finance (SAP S/4HANA), are governed and enhanced in a business-led, scalable, sustainable and value-driven manner; provide Finance-wide governance and challenge over technology requests so that proposed solutions are aligned with business benefits, process standards, data controls, operational sustainability and long-term Finance priorities.
- As a Finance Transformation Manager, you are responsible to drive the adoption and effective use of financial systems, automation, analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and next-generation planning platforms across Finance transformation programmes; strengthen SAP CoE governance by maintaining the operating framework, supporting SAP-related forums, enabling module-owner engagement and promoting continuous improvement in SAP CoE ways of working.
- As a Finance Transformation Manager, you are responsible to champion digital adoption within Finance by encouraging emerging technology awareness, citizen development, digital experimentation and practical use cases that improve Finance effectiveness.
- As a Finance Transformation Manager, you are responsible to promote a stronger Finance data culture through self-service analytics, sound data governance, responsible data-sharing practices and appropriate protection of Finance data; connect Finance, IT, Digital, regional teams and business units around common transformation opportunities, clear problem statements, practical solutions, proof-of-concepts, business cases and implementation roadmaps.
- As a Finance Transformation Manager, you are responsible to build Finance capability by enabling colleagues and SAP CoE Process SMEs to adopt new tools, processes and data-driven ways of working through coaching, upskilling and stakeholder engagemen
Key Responsibilities
Finance digital strategy and roadmap
- Partner with Finance leadership to define, maintain and execute the Finance digital roadmap, translating the CFO’s vision and emerging technology trends into prioritised initiatives, annual budget inputs and quarterly roadmap refreshes
SAP product ownership
- Act as product owner and SME for SAP Finance, SAC, SAP BW/BO, and SAP BPC by reviewing RFCs, challenging benefits and solution design, guiding requirements discussions, ensuring proper data governance and providing best Finance processes, practices and SAP best-practice input
SAP CoE governance and framework ownership
- Organise and host SAP CoE Committee meetings, prepare agendas and meeting facilitation, coordinate follow-up actions, coach SAP CoE Process SMEs and continuously enhance the SAP CoE Framework, authorisation matrix and approval workflow alignment
Strategic transformation project leadership
- Lead and project manage strategic Finance transformation initiatives such as report optimisation, advance financial close, e-invoicing, AI for Finance and Procurement, next-generation analytics, planning platforms and regional Finance optimisation, including project charters, business cases, stakeholder coordination and blocker resolution
Finance Digital Champion
- Represent Finance in digital forums, identify emerging technologies and practical Finance use cases, promote citizen development, support digital experimentation and translate business opportunities and problem statements into proof-of-concepts, proof-of-value and scalable Finance solutions
Finance Data Champion
- Represent Finance in data governance forums, promote self-service analytics and responsible data-sharing practices, and review data extraction, exchange or transfer requests to protect Finance data and minimise leakage or unauthorised exposure
Finance Transformation SME support
- Provide technology and process SME support to cross-functional Finance transformation initiatives by advising on business requirements, solution design, process improvement opportunities, implementation considerations and sustainable operating practices
Stakeholder engagement and change enablement
- Coordinate cross-functional teams across Finance Head Office, regional Finance, IT,Digital and affected business units; build stakeholder alignment; coach users and SAP CoE Process SMEs; and support adoption of new tools, processes and ways of working
Finance KPI And Benefits Tracking
- Manage, coordinate and track Finance departmental KPIs and transformation benefits, ensuring project outcomes, productivity improvements and delivery progress are visible to Finance leadership and relevant governance forums
Requirements
- Relevant degree and/or experience in Finance or Business. Professional accountingqualification such as CPA will be required
- Minimum 10 years of finance experience, project management or PMO experience (managing projects, budget and financial tracking and issue resolution)
- Experience with SAP ERP and Analytics solutions including a strong understanding of SAP financial process design and best practices
- Experience of preparing and reviewing business projects will be required
- Sound grasp of financial principles of project evaluation and business acumen
- Track record of successful change management – process and cultural – with diverse stakeholders
- Experience developing metrics, KPIs, reporting frameworks, dashboards and the vehicles and change approaches to implement them effectively
- Experience working on projects deploying design thinking and LEAN methodology
- Strong project management skills with a proven record of effective scope/time/budgettrade-offs
- Excellent presentation, facilitation and influencing skills with high standard of written and spoken English. Strong communication skill to all levels in the organisation and agility to work within a team environment
- A quick learner with the ability to work independently, be self-motivated and attentive to details
- Strong analytics and reporting skills in producing reports, documentation and presentations
