Role Introduction
Reports to: Head of GBS Process & Digital Excellence
As the Strategic Transformation Manager, you are responsible for driving strategic transformation initiatives that support the long-term goals of the Global Business Services (GBS) Department. You will leverage strong business acumen and analytical skills to translate strategy into actionable plans, delivering meaningful and sustainable business outcomes across functions and geographies.
As a Strategic Transformation Manager, you are responsible to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, communicating effectively to align priorities and drive progress. Through collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and cultural awareness, you will help drive consistent ways of working and successful transformation delivery across multiple the Global Business Services (GBS) locations.
Key Responsibilities
Long-term strategy
- Partner with senior stakeholders to define a long-term transformation roadmap, aligned with business priorities and corporate goals
- Identify and prioritize strategic opportunities across the Global Business Services (GBS); Translate strategic priorities into actionable delivery plans, with clear milestones and success metrics
- Benchmark industry trends and best practices to seek continuous improvement, including the adoption of emerging technologies
Strategic Projects
- Lead and coordinate high-impact strategic projects across the Global Business Services (GBS) portfolio, while overseeing the budgeting process, including planning, tracking, and forecasting
- Drive BU engagement on the Global Business Services (GBS) charging model, ensuring transparency, fairness and clear communication
Strengthened Alignment Across Teams (HKG/BOM/CAN)
- Align teams on the measure of success, and establish consistent governance, reporting and performance-tracking frameworks across locations
- Establish a common set of performance and financial metrics to track progress against targets
- Facilitate cross-location collaboration to share best practices, support a consistent Global Business Services (GBS) operating model
Stakeholder Engagement and Change Management
- Develop and execute change management plans to drive transformation and stakeholders’ engagement
- Monitor change readiness, risks and feedback, adapting plans as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in any discipline
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant work experience
- Experience in driving transformation programmes or major projects that involve multiple stakeholders will be a major advantage
- Experience in developing and managing KPIs (performance and financial), and managing financial budgets will be a plus
- Strong strategic thinking and analytic skills
- Knowledge of Lean methodologies, e.g., Lean/Six Sigma
- Excellent presentation, facilitation and influencing skills with high standard of written and spoken English. Strong communication skill to all levels in the organisation and agility to work within a team environment
- A quick learner with the ability to work independently, self-motivated and attentive to details
