Are you a forward-thinking engineer with a passion for the "Factory of the Future"? We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer specializing in Capability Acquisition to lead the identification, evaluation, and implementation of next-generation manufacturing technologies.
In this role, you won't just follow a process—you will build the roadmap for our production evolution. You will be the technical lead responsible for bringing advanced automation, robotics, and specialized aerospace processing equipment from initial concept to full operational readiness
What you will be doing:
Position qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Experience: Manufacturing environment, specifically focused on capital projects or technology integration.
- Technical Savvy: Deep understanding of aerospace specifications and a proven track record of scaling technology to high-volume production.
- Strategic Mindset: Ability to see the "big picture"—balancing immediate production needs with long-term technological advancement.
- Communication: Strong negotiation skills for managing international vendors and presenting technical roadmaps to leadership.
To work for the Rolls-Royce Defence business, an individual has to hold a Security Check clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently already have this in place. Due to the nature of work the business conducts and the protection of certain assets we can only progress applications from individuals who are a UK national or, in MOD and Government body approved cases, a dual national.
